HOW MANY PORTALS OR SECOND-HAND
APPLICATIONS DO YOU KNOW?
We have identified, only in Spain more than 75 and this number does not stop growing.
HOW WOULD YOU
LIKE TO HAVE A SEARCH ENGINE THAT WAS FOUND IN ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME?
UZZET is a second-hand search engine that does just that. Search in different portals and second hand apps simultaneously, saving you a lot of time, and above all contributing more articles than if you look for one at a time.
In addition, we have an own algorithm in constant evolution to improve the results that it offers and learning of the behaviors of the user.
UZZET is not only a second hand search engine, but also that it tries to cover those spaces of leisure that you spend with your mobile presenting an infinite showcase of second hand articles and generating you the necessity to consult it periodically.
It is a project with international perspectives in the medium term and with both horizontal and vertical scalability.
UZZET is led by a team with more than 20 years of experience in digital projects and management of companies and equipment in the technological sector, with a broad knowledge of the sector and with profiles clearly oriented to both business and technological innovation.
We want to make UZZET something new and different in the second-hand market and improve the search experience and own consumption second-hand, not only in Spain, but internationally.
MARKET IS IT INTRODUCED?
Since the appearance in 2008 of the first second-hand Internet portals in Spain, this market has undergone a radical transition towards the digital format, not only in terms of buying and selling, but also in the image and philosophy of Business. The global technological revolution has mainly been responsible for this transformation, through the creation of new business models, social customs and consumption; the creation of new distribution channels through digital devices and the assimilation of a buying trend based on the reuse of resources.
Proof of this is the national and international growth of the second-hand on-line market, which in 2016 exceeded 14 million consumers and where every day operations were carried out worth 2.5 million euros. According to a TNS study (2016), "63% of Spanish Internet users claimed to use collaborative platforms to sell what they no longer use," resulting in an average income of 153 euros per user; while 19% said to buy in this type of platforms.
WHAT CASES OF
SUCCESS HAVE OCCURRED IN THE MARKET?
This sector stands out for two operations, on the one hand Trovit, a company founded in 2006 with an initial investment of 150,000 euros and in which Cabiedes & Partners and Caixa Capital Risc, among other investors, have a turnover of 17.5 million euros. euros, net benefits of 4.2 million euros, 47 million unique monthly users and presence in 40 countries in 2013; which was bought in 2012 by Japan's Next Co for 80 million euros; and Milanuncios, which after 8 years of operation without external financing and 5.5 million unique monthly users, was bought in 2014 by the group Schibsted Classified Media, owner of Segundamano.es, Fotocasa.es, Coches.net and InfoJobs.net, for 50 million euros and 10% of the shares of its Spanish subsidiary. UZZET participates in this market through a multi-device search engine that unifies more than 60 second-hand websites and apps, such as Wallapop, Milanuncios or Ebay, among others; showing the results ordered efficiently depending on the filter of the user, which redirects to the original announcement in its respective portal, learning from its behavior and using it for the best functionality of the platform.
